I’m very happy to announce BPB Giveaway #3! The guys at Rhythmic Robot are giving away one virtual synthesizer and one of their snazzy virtual drum machines to one lucky BPB reader (+ a free gift to everyone who enters – read on)!
These are the available prizes:
- 1 x Tubes & Wires TW1.
- 1 x Beat Room series drum machine of choice.
Definitely a nice little collection of vintage sounds to add to your library. But that’s not all – everyone who contacts Rhythmic Robot with the word BPB in the subject line gets:
- 1 x Typewriter
So, we have one free gift for everyone and two prizes for one lucky winner. For more info about the prizes and info on how to enter the contest, read on!
How To Enter?
It’s very easy – simply leave a comment on this post. Once you’ve done that, your comment will count as your number in the draw. Of course, only one entry per person is allowed!
The entries will be closed on May 9th, which is when I’ll be picking the winner using the random.org random number generator. I’ll probably perform the draw at 20h (GMT), so that’ll be the right time to cross your fingers (or to send evil fortune to all other entrants, depending on your tactics and/or magic skills!).
The winning number is #93 and that is our reader Matan! Congrats Matan and thank you all for participating! Also, another big thanks to Rhythmic Robot for the prizes and for giving away a copy of Typewriter to all BPB readers!
That’s all for BPB Giveaway #3! In the next month or so, we’ll have a music contest (hopefully to be launched in June) and there will be another giveaway in the meanwhile (probably in a week or two).
The Prizes
Rhythmic Robot is doing an amazing job converting vintage audio gear into nifty Kontakt instruments. They’ve been kind enough to give away one copy of their Tubes & Wires TW1 synthesizer instrument for Kontakt and one virtual beatbox of choice from their Beat Room product range to one lucky BPB reader!
Tubes & Wires TW1 is a virtual analog synthesizer for Kontakt, using samples of three vintage valve signal generators as the sound source. This instrument is arguably one of the worst possible choices if you’re looking for a synthesizer with a clean and sterile sound. (for more info & audio demos, click here)
The Beat Room series features a collection of various analog drum machines which have been sampled and turned into Kontakt instruments:
- MR11 [Yamaha MR-10]
- SR88 [SoundMaster SR-88]
- Doctor 55 [BOSS DR-55]
- Doctor 110 [BOSS DR-110]
- SpecDrum 2000 [Cheetah SpecDrum]
- StyloDrum [Stylophone]
The winner gets to choose one of these drum machines to go with his/her Tubes & Wires TW1 synthesizer! Beat Room has recently been reviewed in Sound On Sound magazine, you can read that review here. (for more info & audio demos, click here)
The Gift
So, those were the available prizes – the winner will receive two awesome Kontakt instruments. But, that’s not all.
Typewriter is pretty much an old virtual typewriter for Kontakt. It will be your old virtual typewriter for Kontakt if you contact Rhythmic Robot with the word BPB in the subject line. That’s right, everyone gets this one! Just make sure you don’t mess it up and write BOB or something stupid. (for more info & audio demos, click here)
Good Luck!
Hope it’s all clear – leave a comment before May 9th and you’re in. Many thanks to Rhythmic Robot for providing the prizes and thank you guys for reading BPB! Good luck!
